It's that point of the year again, when the old team goes and the training for the new team begins. Its extremely encouraging to be given the mandate to lead the next team from the team in which I played with this year.

Its a daunting task, no doubt, but the examples of those who have walked before me have shown me each in their own different way the path that they had taken. With the baton in hand, there is a path for the next team, the team of 2008, to forge ahead.

What really impressed me throughout the course of Tuck Wen's captaincy was the sheer determination and discipline of the team. Its still something that leaves me in awe when thoughts of that team surface in my mind. That team has got to be one of the most self-motivated and discplined team i've seen in my hockey days. This spirit shall not be lost with the team of 2008.

We see the faint beacon in the distance. And the journey has just begun.
